The ruling ANC national government’s latest effort to expropriate land without compensation is to change the part of the South African Constitution that protects your property rights via the Constitution 18th Amendment Bill.

This ill-advised proposal also does nothing to help landless South Africans who have been let down by the ANC’s failing land reform programme. It only serves to bring about more uncertainty.
