Petition for City Power to immediately stabilise the power supply to parts of Northwold, Bromhof, Sonneglans and Sharonlea in the City of Johannesburg
Many residents of Northwold, Bromhof, Sonneglans and Sharonlea in Ward 101 have complained about the extended power outages that have taken place since the beginning of the year.
The power outages have been extended to more than 24 hours and more almost every week.
This is not OK.
The affected areas include First Street, Morkel Place, Stephen Road, Retief Road, Roxie Road, Paul Street, Elnita Avenue, 5th Road, Suikerbekkie Street, Stanley Road, Lima Street and surrounding areas.
An unstable power supply affects many residents that work from home, it impacts on the economy, and it increases the cost of living for the residents.
Residents have to resort to buying cooked meals and sometimes have to throw away rotten food as a result of the extended power outages.
