Petition for City Power to immediately stabilise the power supply to parts of Northriding and Noordhang in the City of Johannesburg
Many residents of Northriding and Noordhang in Ward 101 have complained about the extended power outages that have taken place since the beginning of the year.
The power outages have been extended to more than 24 hours and more almost every week.
This is not OK.
The affected areas include the corner of Witkoppen and Hyperion Drive, Boxer Street, Blandford Road, Canvas Road and surrounding areas.
An unstable power supply affects many residents that work from home, it impacts on the economy, and it increases the cost of living for the residents.
Residents have to resort to buying cooked meals and sometimes have to throw away rotten food as a result of the extended power outages.
