Save Gauteng's forgotten communities
Merafong, Mogale, Emfuleni and Rand West are in a state of staggering disintegration and disrepair. Sign this petition calling for the Gauteng Provincial Government to act NOW and save these municipalities from collapse!
Local government is intended to be the coalface of service delivery to South African citizens. Yet, several municipalities in Gauteng: Merafong, Mogale, Emfuleni and Rand West are on the verge of collapse!
Prolonged service delivery issues and a lack of care have left residents without hope.
Raw sewerage flows through the streets, there are constant power and water cuts, refuse is not collected, and the roads are in a condition of disrepair.
And with all these problems, the Gauteng Provincial Government wants to place a functioning municipality like the City of Tshwane under administration.
Enough with the political games! It doesn’t have to be like this.
It is time the ANC put the interests of Gauteng’s residents ahead of its own self-serving motives.
