To avoid further injuries or the loss of lives, the City of Matlosana must prioritise the safety of all residents by ensuring that traffic laws are enforced.
The Matlosana Traffic Department has a severe shortage of personnel, traffic officers, vehicles and resources which makes them unable to enforce traffic laws.
The intersections between the N12 and Winnie Mandela Street; and the N12 and Hartbeesfontein Street, in particular, also need traffic lights because there have been more and more accidents at these entrances.
