Petition to block Motion of No Confidence against KZN GPU
An MK government in KwaZulu-Natal would cause chaos and instability.

The residents of KwaZulu Natal hereby petition the members of the KwaZulu Natal Legislature to oppose the Motion of No Confidence in the Government of Provincial Unity by the uMkhonto WeSizwe Party (MKP) with the contempt it deserves as an attempt to create chaos and instability in KZN.
This petition further calls on the members of the KwaZulu Natal legislature to:
- Recognise that DA Members of the Executive Council, Francois Rodgers and Martin Meyer, have made great advancements in their portfolios which have been recognised across the board.
- Further recognise that the DA Deputy Speaker of the Legislature, Mmabatho Tembe, has excelled in her role in ensuring that the legislature is a place of structured and orderly debate as well as one that fosters social outreach.
- To note that DA Chairpersons of Portfolio and Standing Committees and the Deputy Chief Whip have ensured that rigid oversight through their respective positions has been carried out over the Executive.
Finally, to note that the DA remains committed to an accelerated program of service delivery focusing on economic growth and job creation, an intensified fight against crime, the elimination of corruption, as well as reducing fruitless and wasteful expenditure, and fostering a culture of mutual respect and cooperation with GPU partners.
